Everything you see here — the name, the phone number, the years, the reviews and the advice — is EXAMPLE content, so you can see how the page would look live. None of it is real yet. Hit “Show what's missing” at the top right and the page will show you exactly which data has to be replaced with yours.

The registration

Three steps. That's the whole thing.

Most people quit these forms because they can't tell how much is left or what they'll be asked. So here it is, all of it, before you start.

  1. Step 1 of 3 · Your details

    Your name and your phone

That's it. With this I can start looking at options before you come in.

  2. Step 2 of 3 · What you want

What kind of vehicle you're after

If you don't know yet, that's fine — pick “Not sure yet” and we'll figure it out together.

  3. Step 3 of 3 · Done

That's it. That was the whole thing.

I call you the same day. The rest we do in person, once you know which one you like.

What this page does NOT ask you for

The number one reason people don't finish these registrations is not knowing what they'll be asked for. So here it is, up front.

None of this is on this page

  • Your Social Security number
  • Income documents or pay stubs
  • Your driver's license
  • Bank details or account numbers

This page only starts the conversation. The dealership's official form is the next step, and I walk you through that one.

What the official form actually asks for

Straight answers

What I tell everybody who walks in

No runaround, no fine print. If after reading this you go somewhere else, that's fine — at least you'll go knowing.

My credit isn't good. Am I wasting my time?

It's the question I get most, and it almost always comes from someone who already told themselves no before asking. I can't promise you an approval — that isn't the salesperson's call, it's the lender's.

What I can tell you is that without the information nobody can look at your case, and that there's more than one option depending on where you stand. I'd rather tell you how things actually are than have you leave thinking it wasn't even worth asking.

Should I buy new or used?

It depends on how much you drive and how long you plan to keep it. A new car loses value faster in the first years, but comes with a full warranty and no history. A used one costs less up front, and there what matters is the vehicle's history, not the model year.

Tell me how many miles you drive a month and in two minutes I'll tell you which way works out better for you.

What do I bring the day I come in?

A valid driver's license, proof of address and proof of income. If you're trading in your current car, bring the title and the keys too — both of them, if you have them: a missing key lowers what you get for it.

If you're missing something, tell me before you come. It's worse to drive all the way here just to be told to come back tomorrow.

Can I trade in the car I have now?

Yes — and it helps to know one thing: what they give you for your car and the price of the one you're taking are two separate numbers. Ask for them separately. If all you're told is “your monthly payment comes to this much,” you still don't know what they're giving you for yours.

How much should I put down?

There's no magic number. The more you put down, the less interest you pay and the less time you spend owing more than the car is worth. But don't drain your savings for a big down payment: a car has costs from month one.

And remember insurance and registration. Plenty of people do the math on the car payment alone and then the month costs more than they expected.

This is general guidance to get you oriented, not financial advice. We look at your case with your own numbers.

About the online registration

“Is this going to hurt my credit?”

It's the number one question, and the answer depends on which kind of check is run. There are two, and they are not the same:

Prequalification · soft check
Does not affect your credit score.
Only you can see it. It leaves no mark on your report.
Full application · hard check
Under 5 points, and it's temporary.
And several auto-loan checks made within a short shopping window count as a single one.

The registration on this page is the first kind: a soft check. Which of the two your step is

“How long is this going to take?”

Two minutes, three steps, from your phone. And you don't have to finish it in one sitting — if I call you first, we can go through it on the phone.

“And if I don't end up buying?”

Nothing happens. Registering doesn't commit you to buying or signing anything. It's so I know what to look for before you spend an afternoon coming in.

“Who ends up seeing my information?”

Your name and phone come to me, so I can call you. The rest goes into the dealership's system, under its privacy policy. If you want your data deleted, you ask and it gets deleted.
